The Farsi pronouns.

Pronouns tell us who is doing the action. Learn these six first: they will appear in every sentence you build.

Shomâ is important because English does not make this distinction. Use to with one person informally; use shomâ when speaking politely to one person, or when speaking to more than one person.

It is similar to Spanish: tú is informal, while usted is formal. Farsi uses to and shomâ in a comparable way.
